MURDER BALLAD BALL

Murder Ballad Ball is a traveling benefit concert that raises funds and awareness for musicians health care organizations. The event showcases passionate musical performances on traditional and modern-day tales of love and retribution. Highlighting the dark, emotional storytelling nature of the murder ballad genre, the event also presents a theatrical undertone. Participants and spectators don their finest attire and a detailed set is constructed, creating a cinematic backdrop for the evening.

The concert has been an annual event in Kansas City since 2009 and has benefited the KC-based nonprofit Midwest Music Foundation (MMF) http://midwestmusicfound.org/ . This December, Murder Ballad Ball will be held in both KC and Tulsa; each concert will feature local acts from both areas and raise funds for MMF and Red Dirt Relief Fund (RDRF) respectively. http://www.reddirtrelieffund.org/
